Wedding Planning Power Hour

$10060 minutes
Lighting tea lights in glass globes hanging from a manzanita branch centerpiece at a wedding reception table

You know what you need help with.

Bring a specific question, decision, challenge, or area of your wedding plans, and we'll use the hour to work through it together.

Find the gaps

One of the hardest parts of planning your own wedding is knowing what you haven't thought about yet. We can review your plans for missing responsibilities, supplies, transitions, or logistical details — and catch them before they become wedding-day problems.

Your Power Hour can include

  • Reviewing your wedding-day timeline
  • Reviewing wedding-day logistics and transitions
  • Identifying gaps or details you may have overlooked
  • Thinking through ceremony and reception flow
  • Reviewing floor plans, seating, and guest flow
  • Considering the guest experience
  • Working through budget priorities and tradeoffs
  • Vendor communication or a vendor-related challenge
  • Practical differences between vendors you've already identified
  • Strategic use of decor you already have or plan to use
  • Wedding-weekend logistics
  • Troubleshooting a specific planning challenge
Before

Send up to two items

Share up to two relevant planning items — a timeline, floor plan, vendor proposal, or checklist. Advance review is about 15 minutes, enough context to make our hour productive.

After

A written recap

You'll receive a brief written summary of the primary recommendations and next steps we discussed, so nothing from the call gets lost.

Best if you can say, “I need help with ______.”

For the big picture

Wedding Planning Checkpoint Session

$17590 minutes

You need help figuring out what needs your attention.

Maybe you've already made a lot of decisions. Vendors are booked. You know there's more to do, but you're no longer sure what you may be missing or what should happen next.

The Checkpoint Session takes a broader look at your wedding plans. Rather than focusing on one question, we'll assess where things stand, identify gaps and unanswered questions, set priorities, and map what needs to happen between now and the wedding.

During your Checkpoint Session, we can

  • Review the current status of your wedding plans
  • Identify decisions or details still outstanding
  • Look for gaps in logistics, responsibilities, supplies, or transitions
  • Review your wedding-day timeline and flow at a high level
  • Identify questions to confirm with vendors
  • Clarify who is responsible for key wedding-day tasks
  • Identify potential guest-experience issues
  • Sort what needs attention now, what's next, and what can wait
  • Work through areas where you feel stuck or uncertain
  • Turn a scattered task list into clear priorities
Before

A planning questionnaire

You'll complete a planning questionnaire and share relevant materials, so I understand what's decided, what's outstanding, and where to spend our time.

After

Your personalized checklist

A practical action list built from our session. The goal: leave knowing not only what may be missing, but what to do about it.

What is a wedding planning consultation?

A wedding planning consultation is a one-on-one advisory session with an experienced planner. Instead of hiring someone to plan your wedding, you bring your plans, questions, and documents, and get expert help reviewing them, finding gaps, and deciding what to do next. You stay in charge of your wedding.

How much does a wedding planning consultation cost?

Planned Chaos offers two consultations: the Wedding Planning Power Hour is $100 for 60 minutes, and the Wedding Planning Checkpoint Session is $175 for 90 minutes.

What's the difference between the Power Hour and the Checkpoint Session?

The Power Hour focuses on one specific question, decision, or challenge and ends with a brief written recap. The Checkpoint Session reviews your entire plan, identifies gaps and priorities, and ends with a personalized Planned Chaos Wedding Checklist sorted into Needs Attention, Next, Later, and Confirm.

Is this the same as hiring a wedding planner or day-of coordinator?

No. Consulting is advisory only. It doesn't include full-service planning, day-of coordination, vendor management, or on-site setup. It's designed for couples who want to plan their own wedding with a professional second set of eyes.

Can you recommend or book vendors for me?

Vendor research, recommendations, outreach, negotiation, and booking aren't included. I can help you figure out what to ask, prepare for vendor conversations, and compare the practical differences between vendors you've already identified.

What should I prepare before my session?

For a Power Hour, you can share up to two planning items, such as a timeline or floor plan (about 15 minutes of advance review). For a Checkpoint Session, you'll complete a planning questionnaire and share relevant materials (about 30 minutes of advance review).

How do I book a consultation?

Start by applying for the session you want. Morgan reads every application and replies to each one by email. If it's a good fit, she'll reach out to schedule your session.

Can you help with wedding decor?

I won't create a decor concept or design scheme, but I can help you use the decor you already have or plan to use more strategically, focusing on placement, reuse, and practical impact.

You're the planner. Get a second set of eyes.

Bring the plan. Leave with next steps.

Apply for a 60-minute Power Hour or a 90-minute Checkpoint Session. Every application gets a personal reply from Morgan.
